Bush, Vice President Richard Cheney and others of espionage, obstruction of justice, perjury and a variety of other charges in the matter of the CIA/Valerie Plame leak-gate case. 10-14-05: Irwin Schiff trial is currently underway The trial should end next week some time and it is favoring the government by Judge Dawson NOT allowing the LAW to be read which would automatically be in favor of Schiff. In fact Judge Dawson said; "I am the LAW here." He therefore could order the jury to find a guilty plea or they themselves could be prosecuted. If the primary person defending our rights to be informed is therefore convicted then THIS IS THE END!!! 10-7-05: Bush will veto anti-torture law after Senate revolt The Bush administration pledged yesterday to veto legislation banning the torture of prisoners by US troops after an overwhelming and almost unprecedented revolt by loyalist congressmen. The mutiny was the latest setback for an administration facing an increasingly independent and bloody-minded legislature. But it also marked a key moment in Congress's campaign to curtail the huge powers it has granted the White House since 2001 in its war against terrorism. The late-night Senate vote saw the measure forbidding torture passed by 90 to nine, with most Republicans backing the measure. Most senators said the Abu Ghraib abuse scandal and similar allegations at the Guantanamo Bay prison rendered the result a foregone conclusion. Can this be a President that allows confessions to be made by torture? 9-30-05: DOJ Lawsuit Against Bill Benson Backfires Specifically, Benson’s attorney argued that because the fact of making "false or fraudulent statements" is a central element of the alleged unlawful act, Due Process requires that Benson must be given an opportunity to directly defend the factual question of whether Benson’s claims are true or false – despite the fact that the federal courts apparently lack any jurisdiction to consider or adjudicate such a question. This legal “Catch-22”, Dickstein argued, required the dismissal of the case. My Personal Note: Ignorance of the puplic and arresting officers is no excuse to be arrested. 3-31-05: Terri Schiavo Died on 3/31/05 Her husband has said she suffered from bulimia, an eating disorder, that resulted in a potassium deficiency that triggered the heart failure. My Personal Note: The courts, Congress, and both Bush's received their information from Michael Schiavo as Terri wanted to die, but there is plenty of evidence that shows that Michael wanted her to die as Terri could have told the world that he tried to strangle her 15 years ago. How can you get broken bones and bruses around the head and neck from heart failure? 3-09-05: DOJ: Court's Opinion Threatens Tax System On March 1st, IRS and DOJ filed a motion with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals asking the Court to amend its January ruling in Schulz v IRS (Case No. 04-0196). Today, Bob Schulz mailed to the Court in Manhattan his brief opposing that motion. The government's motion is evidence that IRS is obviously upset with the Court’s opinion that held that the recipient of an IRS administrative summons “cannot be held in contempt, arrested, detained, or otherwise punished for refusing to comply with the original IRS summons, no matter the taxpayer’s reasons or lack of reasons for so refusing.” 2-11-05: House approves a de facto National ID Card The bill was approved by a 261-161 vote. The measure, called the Real ID Act, says that driver's licenses and other ID cards must include a digital photograph, anti-counterfeiting features and undefined "machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements" that could include a magnetic strip or RFID tag. The Department of Homeland Security would be charged with drafting the details of the regulation, placing unelected government officials in command of the actions and mobility of American Citizens. 12-7-04: Fallujah Residents Face Choice: Retina Scan and Take ID Card . . . . Or Die A caller to the Alex Jones show played a segment from Tom Brokaw's last broadcast on NBC which featured a report from Iraq clearly stating that residents of Fallujah (civilians, NOT insurgents) would be forced to give fingerprints, retina scan and take an ID card or be killed.
