President Bush signs into law one that does not exist!
On Oct. 17, 2006, President Bush signs into law the
Military Commissions Act of 2006, or that's what he thinks along with most every one else
including Congress, but he signed it 14 countable days after Congress adjourned, thus failing to return
a bill that violated Article I, Section 9, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constition.
9-30-2006: Leaving behind a
pile of unfinished work, members of the scandal-rocked U.S. Congress adjourned and went home on
Saturday to ask voters to re-elect them in five weeks. - Reuters
The
House passed S. 3930 with a 250-170 vote on 9/29/06.

Article I. -
The Legislative Branch; Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted)
after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if
he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which
Case it shall not be a Law.
Violation: President Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006 - 4 days beyond the
Constitional limit of Congress' adjournment, thus being an accessory to treason.
Article I. -
The Legislative Branch; Section 9 - Limits on Congress
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
Violation: The Military Commissions Act of 2006 denies any person from any civil rights.
`Sec. 948b. Military commissions generally
`(g) Geneva Conventions Not Establishing Source of Rights- No alien unlawful enemy combatant subject to trial by military commission under this chapter may invoke the Geneva Conventions as a source of rights.
Violation: The Military Commissions Act of 2006 includes those that may have already been charged with some crime.
`Sec. 948a. Definitions
`In this chapter:
`(1) UNLAWFUL ENEMY COMBATANT- (A) The term `unlawful enemy combatant' means--
`(ii) a person who, before, on, or after the date of the enactment of the Military Commissions Act of 2006,
has been determined to be an unlawful enemy combatant by a Combatant Status Review Tribunal or another
competent tribunal established under the authority of the President or the Secretary of Defense.
`Sec. 948d. Jurisdiction of military commissions
`(a) Jurisdiction- A military commission under this chapter shall have jurisdiction to
try any offense made punishable by this chapter or the law of war when committed by an alien
unlawful enemy combatant before, on, or after September 11, 2001.
Article II. -
The Executive Branch; Section 4 - Disqualification
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be
removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other
high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Violation: President Bush signed into law one that Congress violated the Constitution on.
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
Section 241. Conspiracy against rights
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or
intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth,
Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any
right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of
the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same;
or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the
premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free
exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured -
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than
ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in
violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an
attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit
aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined
under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life,
or both, or may be sentenced to death.
